“A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins.”*

Benjamin Franklin

Those words could not be truer today. We now live in a time when the politicians are in a race to get the least informed voters, illegal aliens, people that do not speak English, people that have no understanding of our founding and constitution, people who get their news from Jon Stewart or Saturday Night Live and students that have been freshly indoctrinated.

Many of us conservatives were aghast that any Democrats could win office or re-elections with an economy so poor. When the exit polls showed more than half of the voters still blamed President Bush for the bad economy, I knew we needed to do more to inform these low information voters about the truth.

My thought was that many people out there want to make a statement but recoil from many of the common “NoBama” or worse bumper stickers available today. Nobody likes to think of themselves as “uninformed” or “ignorant” but if they knew that others thought of them as “low information” they might pay a little more attention. Some of these posts will be simple facts like:

Bare Hands. .
Bare Hands. .
3 x 10 Bumper Sticker "Honk if you don’t know that bare hands, blunt objects and knives all murder more people in the U.S. than assault weapons per FBI statistics."

Or just the statement that you know the “Low Information Voters” are amongst us.

* Some have claimed that this quote was taken out of context, or not made by Franklin, but when you look at the totality of Franklin’s quotes, it seems to me that this is how he felt on the subject.  For the folks that want to revise history, don’t give me some anecdotal story about some other misquoted guy, just show me the person that spent 100% of their time with Franklin that is sure he did not say this.  Morons.
